What is Apple Digital Masters?

Previously known as Mastered for iTunes, Apple Digital Masters ensures the highest possible audio quality within the Apple Music ecosystem. Projects are mastered in high resolution — 24-bit/44.1kHz — specifically optimized for AAC playback on Apple Music. The final file is delivered to Apple in HD WAV format and converted by Apple into AAC 256kbps, preserving maximum sonic integrity throughout the process.

This approach follows the same philosophy as the CD era — audio specifically mastered for its intended playback format, ensuring the listener hears exactly what the artist and engineer intended.
